Privacy Policy

RainSleep ("we", "us") is an audio streaming website for rain sounds, sleep music, and relaxation. We are committed to minimizing the data we collect. We do not require an account to listen, and we do not sell your personal information.

• Usage analytics (optional). With your permission, we use Google Analytics for site measurement and pseudonymous operational and conversion analytics. General usage data may include pages visited, approximate region, and device type. Usage analytics may include controlled audio and page categories, loaded duration, listening milestones, controlled player, page, and Timer context, Timer minutes, Mixer track count, preset provenance, creation method, and the delivery method of a successfully shared Mix. Payment-funnel events may include an internal order or transaction identifier, pack, credit quantity, amount and currency, purchase source, balance bucket, and confirmation state. These are transaction-level events, not anonymous aggregate payment data. RainSleep never sends generation prompts, audio URLs, email addresses, RainSleep user IDs, or Creem or other provider IDs to Google Analytics. Analytics may set cookies.
• Local storage on your device. Your playlists and preferences (e.g. volume, theme, and your analytics choice) are stored locally in your browser so the app remembers your settings. This data stays on your device and is not sent to us.
• Generation requests. If you use the AI Sound Generator, the prompt and parameters you submit are sent to the relevant provider to create music, text, or speech. Generated results and task metadata may be stored so you can retrieve your output and we can account for credits.
• Account information. When you sign in to use the generator, we process account identifiers and profile information needed for authentication, generated-audio history, and credit balances.
• Payment information. Creem processes optional credit-purchase payment details as Merchant of Record. RainSleep stores the payment and order identifiers, amount, currency, credit quantity, payment status, and the customer identifier, email, and country returned by Creem for payment support, fraud review, and credit delivery. We do not store your full card number or security code.
• Feedback submissions. If you use the feedback form, we receive your message, optional email, category, rating, user agent, and a keyed pseudonymous hash of your IP address for abuse prevention. We do not store the raw IP address in the feedback record.
• Security and abuse prevention. For rate-limited API requests, our hosting ingress provides an IP address that we convert to a keyed pseudonymous hash. We do not store the raw IP in the rate-limit table. The hash is used only for the active rate-limit window, currently up to one hour. After expiry it no longer restricts requests; the row is deleted when subsequent rate-limited traffic runs cleanup.
• Communications. If you email us, we receive the contents of your message and your email address to reply.

We rely on trusted providers to operate RainSleep:

• Google Analytics — site measurement and the pseudonymous operational and conversion analytics described above.
• Supabase — provides account authentication and stores account, credit, and sound metadata needed by the Service.
• Creem — processes optional credit purchases as Merchant of Record. We share the purchase and account information needed to create, process, support, and reconcile a checkout; Creem processes payment details under its own privacy policy.
• Evolink — processes prompts and settings for music generation.
• OpenRouter — processes prompts and settings for text generation.
• Replicate — processes text and voice settings for text-to-speech generation.
• AWS S3 / Cloudflare R2 & CDN — host and deliver audio files.
• Vercel — hosts and serves the website.

Each provider processes data under its own privacy policy. We share only what is necessary for the service to function.

Cookies are small files stored by your browser. Account sign-in may use cookies needed for authentication. Google Analytics can set analytics cookies after you accept analytics. Rejecting analytics does not prevent listening or using the audio tools.

Analytics is off by default for all visitors. We load Google Analytics only after you choose Accept analytics. Choosing Reject analytics keeps it off. We save your choice in this browser's local storage; clearing browser storage or using another browser means you will be asked again. If storage is unavailable, the choice applies to the current page and may not be remembered on your next visit.

You can reopen Analytics preferences from the footer or the on-screen preferences button. Withdrawing consent stops new analytics events and removes the analytics cookies that this site can access. Requests already queued by Google may finish, and withdrawal does not delete data already sent to Google. Events skipped while analytics is off are not queued for later delivery. Advertising consent stays off even when you accept analytics.

Analytics preferences

We retain transaction records when reasonably necessary for tax, accounting, fraud prevention, dispute handling, and legal compliance. These records can outlive account deletion, while account profiles and generated-audio history can be removed separately.

A rate-limit hash can affect requests only during its active window, currently no more than one hour. An expired row may remain until subsequent rate-limited traffic triggers cleanup, but it is not used to restrict requests after expiry.

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you. Since most preference data lives only in your browser, you can clear it at any time via your browser settings. For other requests, contact us.

RainSleep is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us data, please contact us so we can remove it.

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of RainSleep after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
